Mais, tous ceux-là, autour de vous, fixent leur attention sur un petit problème, un détail personnel, souvent matériel. Ils pensent que tout vient de là. Ils en parlent des heures, y enroulent leur pensée, s’y recroquevillent, s’y perdent.

Alors dîtes leur, à tous ceux-là, autour de vous, dîtes leur de regarder plus haut, plus large.

Parfois le petit problème n’existe pas ou à peine : il est une façon bien naturelle de catalyser un sentiment diffus de mal-être sur un sujet concret. Le vrai problème n’est pas l’étole de soie perdue ou la voiture qui ne démarre pas. Il est ce sentiment d’impuissance face à la dérive d’une société, d’une civilisation.

Quand le petit problème existe, il n’est que l’appendice de maux plus vastes. Des tensions au boulot ? Voyez donc les ravages du new management. Une rhinopharingite chronique ou des maux de ventre tous les soirs ? Intéressez-vous aux causes de la pollution et aux modes de production de ce qu’on mange. Des journées trop chargées ?
